Angel Athletic celebrate winning the Division Two title

Scarborough Sunday League Division Two champions Angel Athletic completed a flawless debut season with a 7-1 home win against Fylingdales Reserves.

Angel will be looking to complete a league and cup double with a victory in Sunday's Goalsports Trophy final against Scarborough Campus at Seamer, 2pm kick-off.

Joint player-boss Dan Jones said: "It was a great win for us to make it 15 out of 15 in the league.

"We were 3-0 up at half-time, with Ali Caw, David Bell and Josh Dolan all on target. We made plenty of changes after the break, I came on and scored and Rob Bowman and Steven Whittaker broke their ducks in the last game of the season. Bell then rounded the game off with a fine finish."

A jubilant Jones added: "This was a superb end to the season and it sparked a big celebration.

"Jordan Oliver was our best player on his return to fitness but a thank-you has to go out to all involved throughout the season.

"Finishing unbeaten is a massive thing whatever division it is so we take it not only into next week's final but next year into Division One."
