Scarborough Athletic frontman Ryan Blott has kept his sights high after passing another milestone for the Evo-Stik South club.
Blott hit his 200th goal for Boro in the 3-1 home defeat against Romulus on Saturday.
This achievement came in just over six years, his first goal coming in the defeat of Yorkshire Amateur back in November of 2007.
Blott is now looking to maintain his form, though his quest for goals is currently being hampered by a run of niggling injuries.
“It is frustrating. I have only been at 100 per cent for three games this season,” he said.
“I managed to shake off a knee injury a few weeks ago and then I picked up a hamstring strain that I’m currently playing with.
“I think if I can get back to full fitness then I’ll be looking at around 25 goals this season, it is all down to that bit of luck.
“It was nice to score my 200th goal and get it off my back.
“I can calm down a bit now and just concentrate on scoring goals and helping the team.
“I’m delighted to achieve this, I don’t suppose that many people have scored 200 goals for the same club.
“There have been quite a few that I’ve enjoyed over the years, including the goal against Bridlington to level it up at 3-3 in 2010 and obviously the one against Brighouse at the end of last season.”
Saturday’s result may have come as a blow to Boro, but Blott has underlined that there is plenty of football left to play this season.
“It was just a game too far for us on Saturday, everyone was just that bit too tired,” said Blott.
“We still have a lot of games to play and we are still looking to kick on in the final few months of the season
“We are still right in there, which is important at this stage.”
