Boro buzzing in training

Scarborough Athletic returned to training on Thursday night with impressive results.

Boss Rudy Funk was delighted with his squad’s form when they battled through the snow and ice at Bishop Burton College near Hull.

“We got back into training and it was a truely a great session,” said Funk.

“The lads were buzzing, they looked really sharp, lets hope that they transfer that into the next game we play.”

At a time when many teams are struggling to train on grass surfaces, Funk is delighted with the all-weather facilities at Bishop Burton.

He added: “When I joined up with Scarborough I had in the back of my mind that we needed a reliable training base, Bishop Burton fits that superbly.

“The facilities are great, if you want to train on grass you can train on grass, but if the weather is bad, like it currently is, then we can go on the all-weather.

“We are always made to feel welcome when we arrive, which is also a nice touch.”
