Scarborough Athletic are on the road tonight for their third pre-season friendly outing.

After clashes against Barton last Thursday and Grimsby Town on Saturday, boss Rudy Funk takes his Boro roadshow to NCEL first division outfit Clipstone, 7.45pm.

Boro will be at full-strength for the game, apart from midfielder Jimmy Beadle, who is given a night off after a gruelling battle against the Mariners at the weekend.

Pete Davidson is welcomed back into the fold after he missed the Grimsby game.

Funk said: “We are going to change things around a bit and play a few differnt people tonight.

“We have a number of new lads so it is important that they all get used to one another. We also need to try a few different partnerships.

“It is all about trying to find the right blend.

“Over the next two games we will be trying things out, then after that we will focus on where we need to be.”

After a win and a defeat, Funk is positive about how his side have started their pre-season campaign.

“Things are good, so far the lads have displayed a lot of good understanding,” added Funk.

“Clipstone won’t make it easy for us though, because they are a strong hard-working team.”
