Scarborough Athletic boss Rudy Funk and his players are keeping busy, despite pre-season not kicking off for almost a month.

Funk and a handful of his side will be at the kit launch and fans’ forum on Friday June 9 at the Cask, before the manager and his entire squad jet off to Magaluf for a quick team-bonding holiday.

He said: “Behind the scenes we are very busy talking to different parties and keeping things ticking over.

“We are all looking forward to the kit launch night, which will be a great evening for us and the fans.

“We are then going on a quick holiday to Magaluf for a bit of team bonding.

“The players organised the holiday and asked me to come. They are an extension of my family anyway, so I couldn’t turn them down.”

Boro start their open pre-season on Thursday June 28, before undertaking their opening friendly against Eastfield on Saturday July 7.
