Scarborough Athletic Reserves have made a double striking swoop for this weekend after Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at struggling Humber Premier side Hedon Rangers.
Managers Gary Simm and Sean Chapman have brought in Darren Clough and Heslerton frontman Jack Pinder for the weekend’s trip to Bridlington Sports.
Simm said: “We are just lacking a striker, but we have Darren back for Saturday and Jack has agreed to sign on.
“We played well against Hedon, but we just couldn’t put the ball in the net.”
Midfielder Carl Hepples did score for Boro, but he was denied by the linesman’s flag, he also had a good chance late in the game, but he headed an effort straight at the keeper.
Boro had a number of impressive performances across the park, including 17-year-old defenders Jack Wood and Jordan Oliver. Tom Micklethwaite also shone in the midfield.
Boro Reserves will be looking to bounce back on Saturday when they host a Brid side who one place below them in the Humber Premier table.
