Scarborough Athletic return to Evo-Stik South action on Saturday when they play host to Chasetown.

Boro boss Rudy Funk is keen to get some points on the board as they bid to push further up towards the division’s play-off positions.

He said: “When you are successful in the cup you have to put league plans on the backburner.

“I have been looking at the table and it shows that we are a mile behind on the amount of games that we have played.

“We have some security because there are a lot of teams below us in the table and we currently have plenty of games in hand on them.

“If we can manage to win these games in hand then we can possibly push to towards the play-off places.”

Chasetown have been in a mixed run of form of late, which has seen them drop down the table.

They do boast a useful striking partnership of Paul Sullivan and Nick Wellecomme, who between them have struck 12 goals in all competitions so far this season.
