AARON Best is the man charged with keeping Scarborough Athletic ticking over behind the scenes.
The 21-year-old has been appointed as the NCEL Premier club’s new general manager.
Best, who is in his third year of a business course at the University of Hull Scarborough Campus, has taken up the role as part of an educational placement.
And the Chelsea fan is already describing it as a dream come true.
Best, who hails from Peterborough, said: “I had to secure a placement as a part of my course and I love football, so this is a dream job for me.
“My role covers the business side of the club, because Rudy Funk handles everything on the pitch.
“I am more behind the scenes, making a bit of money and sorting out events.
“I am a week into it and already I’m really enjoying myself.
“My perfect job would be to work for Chelsea, but as long as I’m working in football then that is great.”
Aaron is looking for the fans to get on board and chip in with any ideas that can move the club forward.
“We are looking for anything from the fans or the people of Scarborough.
“Ideas to raise money and get more supporters down or anything people can come up with. I’m ready and willing to listen.”
As well as running a reduced season ticket, the club also have openings for player sponsorship, advertising board sponsorship and match sponsorship.
With 15 home games remaining, the club are now selling season tickets for £93 for adults and £46 for concessions.
