STRIKER Adam Lee is set to join Scarborough Athletic’s hunt for NCEL Premier promotion.
Lee, a former Ilkeston, Buxton, Frickley and Goole frontman, is poised to sign up from Armthorpe after netting 15 goals already this campaign.
Boro boss Rudy Funk sees this as a real Christmas present for the fans.
He said: “We didn’t give the supporters much to cheer against Barton last weekend, hopefully this will make up for it.
“Adam is a really exciting signing, I have been chasing him for some time.
“He is very direct and quick, which is exactly what we want.”
Unfortunately, Lee will miss the Boxing Day clash with landlords Bridlington Town due to a groin strain.
Funk added: “We have to be careful with him because it is important that he is fit for the long haul.
“He will be down on Monday though and he will be in the changing room.
“It will be nice for Adam to take in the derby atmosphere and to see what we are all about.”
