Scarborough Athletic striker Sam O’Malley will be dual-signing for Shirebrook Town from this weekend.
The 18-year-old featured in a number of pre-season friendlies for Boro, but has not made the matchday squad so far this season.
The forward said: “It will be a good opportunity to get playing regular football at Shirebrook. I had a chat with the manager after the Salford City match on Saturday, and we both decided going out on loan would be good for my development.
“I want to perform well and show what I can do to push for a place back at Boro.”
Manager Rudy Funk commented on the move: “Sam is a young striker who is still learning his trade with us. This move will allow him to get some minutes under his belt and learn from manager Mark Camm and Danny Bacon at Shirebrook.”
