Former Scarborough FC star Michael Coulson took to the international stage again on Tuesday night when he was part of the England C side that lost out to Russia’s under-21s.
The game, at Dynamo Moscow’s Khimky Arena, was an International Challenge and England were put to the sword by a strong Russian side, including a Real Madrid youngster and a Champions League star.
But Coulson, who came off the bench for 30 minutes, enjoyed the experience.
Coulson said: “I didn’t start as I missed a couple of days training with a niggle, which was a bit frustrating.
“But there was no way I wasn’t going to get on the pitch and get my cap.
“It was good to be on a pitch with such good players and to see how they go about their football, it was great learning experience.”
