South African prop Nino Cutino and Australian utility back Rob James were hugely disappointed at the outcome of Saturday’s game following a week of what James described as awesome work on the training paddock.
Scarborough were edged out by high-flying Keighley, with the game finishing 13-10.
Cutino said: “We must work harder to shut these games out having controlled them for 60 or 70 minutes.”
On the bright side James was pleased at the side’s midfield defence which had leaked tries in the opening games of the season.
He added: “Even with the re-shuffling forced upon us behind the scrum week after week we have managed to tighten things up recently and look forward to the availability of Paul White (returning from injury) and Craig Farrell next week.
Cutino said, “Plusses for us was Tom Ratcliffe’s superb try and young Corey Dennis who showed real potential.”
