Edgehill manager Steve Clegg hailed his side’s efforts after they battled back from a 2-0 deficit against Falsgrave to win 3-2 in the last minute to seal a cup double.
Clegg’s men trailed 2-0 heading into the last 10 minutes after goals from Kieran Link and Lee Drydale either side of the interval.
But a Dan Jones header made it 2-1 before goals from Liam Cooper and JP Watson secured a remarkable comeback.
The manager was quick to pay tribute to his players after the full-time whistle.
He said: “I think some of our lads thought we’d already won following our good performance against Filey last week, and we didn’t really get going until the 70th minute.
“Usually our workrate, pressing the ball as a team gets us through and that didn’t happen tonight.
“I feel for Falsgrave as they were the better side on the night, but our lads did really well to come back and turn it round like that.
“To come away with two trophies at the end of the season with a County Cup semi-final is great to say we started the season poorly.
“But I’m really proud of all the players. To come back like that showed great spirit and we’re all delighted.”
