Fans only have a few days to nominate new Scarborough Athletic board members as part of the annual election of directors.
With work beginning on the new Leisure Village at Weaponness and the move back to town becoming closer after nine seasons playing at Bridlington, the club are looking for people passionate about football to consider standing for election.
A club spokesman said: “Since the club was formed in 2007, we have made huge progress and continue to develop the club further both on and off the pitch thanks to the efforts of many people.
“But in order to ensure that the club continues to make progress it needs to attract new people with new skills, ideas and commitment who are willing and able to make it happen going forward; who can translate ideas into reality.”
Potential candidates have until Monday, October 26, to put themselves forward for election prior to the AGM, to be held on Friday November 27 at The Scarborough Bowls Centre on North Marine Road.
For more information on how to stand for the board, fans can read through the election bulletin which is on the club website on http://scarboroughathletic.com/news/2015-10-11/boro-agm
Completed candidate nomination forms should be returned to the acting society secretary by email - firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to 1 Red Scar Drive, Newby, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO12 5RQ. This must be done no later than Monday.
The AGM evening will also feature a fans forum, with supporters able to question the Boro joint managers Bryan Hughes and Paul Foot.
Both the AGM and election are open to all Boro supporters but only current paid-up joint owners of Scarborough Athletic FC Society Limited who are in attendance, and other individuals in attendance who hold valid proxy voting instructions (from paid-up members who are unable to attend), will be eligible to vote in the election and on matters raised at the AGM.
