Scarborough Athletic are set to name the signings of four big names ahead of their debut season in the Evo-Stik South Division.
Former Scarborough FC defender Paul Foot (pictured above), Gary Bradshaw, Chris Bolder and Steve Ridley have all committed to Boro from North Ferriby, who won the Evo-Stik Premier League this season.
Gainsborough keeper Jason White has also committed, while another former Scarborough FC stopper, Antoni Pecora, will be looking to impress when he trains with the squad in pre-season alongside Ben Chapman and Retford’s attacking midfielder Danny Frost.
Funk will also be speaking to Boro players Olly Ryan, Sam Denton, David Brown and Louis Horne over the weekend in a bid to keep them on board ahead of the new campaign.
Funk said: “As a club we are delighted that these players have committed to Scarborough Athletic.
“We said at the end of last season that we needed to strengthen and we have done exactly that by bringing in some great players.
“Four of these lads won the Evo-Stik Premier last season, while Jason’s pedigree speaks for itself, giving us two extraordinary keepers for this level.
“We have had to be patient because you have to get these things right.
“The fans have been fantastic for this club, hopefully this gives them something back.”
