Scarborough Athletic’s joint-managers Paul Foot and Bryan Hughes have had their interim deals at the club extended until the New Year.
Joint-manager Foot announced his joy at the new deal and says he hopes they can now go on and help the team climb the table.
Foot said: “We were both delighted when the board offered us an extension because it gives us a chance to stamp our authority on the club and make the changes we want to.
“I don’t feel it is possible to implement the changes we want in just a couple of weeks so this is a great opportunity to do that.”
The duo are yet to win a game as joint-managers but Foot insisted: “We both think this is a fairer opportunity for us to get the lads up the table.
“We have gone from assistants to managers and that is very positive change, even if it has come a bit earlier than expected.”
Foot revealed his long-term ambitions at the club, he added: “We want the job. 100 per cent. We are like-minded and get on very well so there is no reason why we can’t make it work in the long-run.
“We’re getting our heads round it obviously as we are new to this job but we have a similar outlook on things and we agree on near enough everything.
“We haven’t had any disagreements and why would we? We are both adults and we will do everything we can to get the club to where it needs to be.”
