Four junior sides on the hunt for new players

A quartet of local junior football clubs are searching for new players heading into the 2016/17 season.

Scholes Park Raiders are holding an open day at Hull University campus on Sunday, 10am to 12noon, to attract new recruits.

Club chairman Mark Barber will be holding training sessions for ages from Under-Eights to Under-11s.

Newlands Park Raiders Under-14s are looking for more players for the new Minor League season.

The team train every Saturday morning at 9.30am at Gallows Close, for more details ring manager Daz Winters on 07791 204686.

Barrowcliff Juniors FC are on the hunt for new players for the coming season.

The club, who have an Under-12s team, train on Barrowcliff School playing field on Tuesdays, 5-7pm.

Scalby Juniors FC are hoping to start a new Under-Sevens team this season.

The Otters have teams at Under-Nines, 14s and 15s already.

The club want to hear from any coaches or players wanting to get involved.
