Scarborough Athletic boss praised his players after their 3-1 victory against Glasshoughton in tropical conditions.
Temperatures soared at their Queensgate base, but Boro kept their cool to seal their third consecutive NCEL Premier win.
“It was tough because it was so hot out there. You could see that as the game got on the play got slower and slower.
“I asked the lads what their performance was about at times and they told me that they hadn’t played in heat like that before.
“It isn’t easy in those conditions, so I would take the three points all day long.
“We have nine points out of nine, so you can’t complain really because we are looking stronger and stronger with every game that passes.
“We highlighted our defensive performance against Spennymoor and I give our back-line credit for their performance against Glasshoughton.
“We have conceded three goals this season and two have come from the penalty spot, so we are looking good back there.
“It is important now that we have to keep our momentum going. It is still early stages so we have to keep on picking up those points.
