Scarborough Athletic manager Rudy Funk is confident he has made the right signings ahead of tomorrow’s pre-season training.
Funk is expecting as many as nine new faces to show up for tomorrow night’s opening session at Bishop Burton College.
Boro did welcome plenty of new signings to last season’s session, but only a select few lasted out until the end of the campaign.
He said: “People come to this club and want to be a part of Scarborough Athletic.
“In the past you have had to sell the club, but now you don’t have to persuade anybody, they just want to be a part of what is happening.
“This is down to the hard work that is being done behind the scenes at the club to get everything working smoothly.
“Players came last season and for some it just didn’t work out.
“It was a learning curve for me as well as them, but I don’t want to end up in that position again.
“The majority stuck it out, sticking with the club and the fantastic fans we have.
“These are the sort of players we are hoping to keep and bring in this time.”
