Scarborough Athletic will welcome a pair of players into the squad for when they tackle Thackley at Queensgate on Tuesday night, 7.45pm.

Skipper Tony Hackworth returns from holiday and boss Rudy Funk will also have new keeper Steve Wilson available should regular custodian Kevin Martin be absent through a back injury.

He said: “We have Tony Hackworth back so there is a little more addition to the side.

“We just have to do what we did against Hall Road Rangers, move the ball around because that is our policy this season.

“It has to be quick and it has to be sharp, but it does have to be as simple as possible.”

Thackley kicked off their campaign on Saturday with a 2-1 win against newly promoted Glasshoughton after coming from behind.

Former Farsley and Gainsborough striker Mark Bett scored both of their goals.
