Jay Halton and Jake Reeves both struck hat-tricks as Scalby under-11s won 14-0 in their Specsavers League Cup game against Holt FC.
The first round tie was effectively offer by half-time as the villagers led 11-0, including an overhead kick from Halton.
In the second half Holt played a lot better and held Scalby to scoring another three making the final score 14-0 to the village club.
As well as the trebles for Halton and Reeves, there were two goals apiece for Liam Coulson, Max McNiven and Connor Avison.
David Hayward and Rueben Staveley also bagged a goal each.
Thornton Dale under-14s sank to a 4-1 loss at Eastfield Sports in the Scarborough and District League Cup.
Luke Hornby scored the only goal for Thornton.
Pickering Town under-11s’ excellent run ended with a 3-1 home loss against Rufforth Gliders in the first round of the York League Cup.
It started well for Pickering, who took the lead in just 90 seconds with Toby Dale finishing cleanly among scrambling defenders.
From then on however it was Rufforth who took the initiative quicker on and off the ball it was left to Harry Edwards in the Pickering goal to make some great saves to keep his team’s lead intact.
On 27 minutes the inevitable happened as Rufforth got a well-deserved equaliser.
A long kick by their keeper split the defence leaving an unmarked striker the simple job of slotting it home.
After a half-time pep-talk by the Pickering coaches the home team started better, but the frailties of poor marking and slow reaction times meant Rufforth were a constant threat.
Seven minutes into the second half the Gliders struck again with a superb long-distance shot and a minute later a now jittery defence succumbed to an own goal.
Late pressure by the Pikes saw a couple of chances go begging, but Rufforth deserved the win and their place in the next round.
