Zak Hanson fired in eight goals to help his Scarborough Sports Barrowcliff side to a 13-1 win at Scarborough Spa at Gallows Close.

Dean Johnson grabbed a brace and the scoring was rounded off by Chris Hannam and Josh Bowmaker.

Cayton started strongly with a 4-0 win at home to Ayton.

Man of the match Nick Hodgson grabbed a hat-trick while the other goal came courtesy of Jon Hodgson.

Fylingdales Reserves were denied all three points after Hull University grabbed a late equaliser to net a 3-3 draw.

Uni took a 2-0 lead after a Callum Ogden own goal and an Ed Burrows penalty, but goals from Lewis Peel, Mark McCarthy and Sam Bailey put the home side 3-2 up.

Dales were denied the win though as George Friend fired in a late leveller.

Gary Lee was Dales’ man of the match at centre-back.

Heslerton started the season in superb fashion with a 4-1 win at Newlands Reserves.

They were 1-0 up through Billy Bown’s 18-yard free-kick before Tom Peel made it 2-0.

They should have been further ahead at the interval, but Josh Beech missed a penalty.

Newlands clawed a goal back after the break, but Dan Blanchard and Josh Bown fired in to make certain of the win for Dean Storry’s men.

Carl Hepples fired in a treble as Roscoes Bar hammered Alma 8-0.

His brother Gary, Sean Rowley, Graeme Farrah, Mark Kenyon and Scott Newman rounded off the scoring for Lee Paterson’s side, who put in a superb team performance.
