A LEE Dennis hat-trick helped Strongwood surge to a 9-2 victory at struggling Ayton.
Striker Dennis led the way for the visitors, with his second goal a powerful shot that gave Ayton keeper Damon Gormley no chance.
Man of the match Chris Mann also scored a cracking 20-yard shot, impressing in the right side of midfield in the opening 45 minutes and then excelling at right-back in the second half.
Dan Jones also netted a double for Strongwood, with player-boss Martyn Ferrey, Luke Purvis and Bobby Penny all grabbing a goal apiece for the visitors.
Sam Wallace and Howard Carter netted for the home side, who face a battle with basement club Angel in the battle to avoid finishing in the one and only relegation spot in the top flight.
The game between title rivals Newlands and Star was postponed as Star could not raise a full side for the fixture.
