Scarborough Athletic look set to be without central defender Andy Milne when they host Tadcaster Albion in the NCEL Premier on Saturday.
Milne took a kick to the hip in last weekend’s 4-2 win at Parkgate and he is still struggling.
Striker Ryan Blott is also a worry, as he tweaked a hamstring in the same fixture.
Boss Rudy Funk said: “We took Ryan off as a precaution on Saturday against Parkgate because he had a tight hamstring.
“You can’t take chances at this stage of the season, which is something we definitely don’t want to do.
“Andy is a little more serious. He felt the impact on Saturday so he went straight to hospital. It turns out he has some bruising around his kidney.
“Fortunately we have a number of players who are very adaptable, which is something that the modern game dictates.
“David Brown came on for Ryan as cover on Saturday and Paddy Miller moved back from his more advanced role to left-back.”
Boro could also be on the verge of welcoming defender Sam Denton and striker Ollie Ryan back into the squad.
He added: “Sam was at the game on Saturday and we are expecting him to play a big part in the last few games of the season.
“Ollie is raring to go, we were actually going to put him on the bench last weekend, but we were looking very strong at the time.
“He will be at training on Thursday and we will take it from there.”
