Scarborough Athletic boss Rudy Funk will be casting his eye over a few new faces when his side travel to Ossett Albion in the Doodson League Cup tonight, 7.45pm.
Funk has moved to capture left-sided man Liam Shepherd from Pickering, while York City loanee Mike Atkinson will also feature.
Boro will also have reserve team players Darren Clough, Niall Gibb, Joe Hart and Dom Richardson available for the trip.
Boss Funk said: “We have a few knocks and bruises, but it is no different to any usual match that we face.
“Everyone will be there at the game, including a few of the newer faces.
“We have made the signing of Liam from Pickering this week. He is a quick and confident left-sided player, who we are looking forward to seeing in action.
“Mike Atkinson will feature, as will four of the reserve team players, who have all been doing very well this season.”
Funk is not concerned about the fixture that lies just a few days ahead of Saturday’s big FA Trophy trip to AFC Telford United.
“It is nice to be in the position we are at the moment,” added Funk.
“If you are successful and winning then the cup games come thick and fast, it is something you have to deal with.
“We have organised the club so we can cope with this. We now have strength in depth, which is down to Steve Brennan and the others who do their bit down the line.
“We only have to look at the Long eaton game last season when we played a number of the reserves and they did very well.
“It goes to show that if they come in and perform then things can happen.”
