NEWBY & Scalby and Lindhead were the stars of the show at the years five and six Scarborough & District Schools Partnership seven-a-side tournament, which took place at Pindar.
Newby edged out Gladstone Road at the top of the Premiership, while Lindhead took control in the Championship division.
The Newby girls grabbed 17 points at the top of the Premiership, but they were joined on that total by Gladstone. Newby took the title though with a superior goal difference.
Both Lindhead and Northstead were promoted from the Championship after they picked up the top two spots.
They will both turn out in the Premiership when the competition continues in the New Year.
The event was run as a Olympic-style competition, promoting the values of excellence, respect and friendship.
Newby collected the excellence award, while Barrowcliff won the trophy for respect and St Peter’s took the friendship honour.
The event was run by the Graham School gold ambassadors, who have been selected by the schools partnership to promote participation.
The trio of Michael Tindall, Bobby Scarborough and Kawsar Ahmed all did an excellent job on a chilly and windy night at Pindar.
