Ryedale lead way in second division

RYEDALE Sports Club Reserves continued their excellent start to the season with a 3-0 home victory against Aislaby United.

Strikers Marc Dobson and Matty Gardner smacked in a goal apiece, while right-winger Ryan Boyes also notched.

Man of the match for Ryedale Sports was veteran centre-back Phil Hutchinson. Ben Chapman, also at centre-back, was named as the star man for Aislaby.

Pickering Knights claimed a superb 6-4 home win against Heslerton Reserves.

Left-winger Greg Fawcett slammed home a brace of goals for the Knights, while sub Steve Watson, strike due Rowan South and Adam Ridley and right-winger Josh Brittain also netted for the home side.

Fawcett was Knights’ star man.

Snainton Reserves won 5-1 at Thornton Dale Reserves, while Union Rovers 2nds won 3-0 against Slingsby.
