Whitby Fishermen continued their fine Scarborough News Saturday League Division One form with a 2-0 win at Seamer on Wednesday night.

Karl Storr and Dylan Goldsmith netted for the Fishermen, with Jordan Purvis their man of the match.

Filey Town and Sleights played out their second successive 3-3 draw at Clarence Drive.

Visitors Sleights opened the scoring on 20 minutes when Rob Ingham turned home a right-wing cross.

It was 2-0 within 15 minutes when Lewis Peel chested down and forced home from close-range.

Early in the second half Ingham's neat dink across the box was controlled and slotted between the keeper and his right-hand post.

However, Filey fired into the roof of the net from 18 yards through Ricky Tomlinson and made it 3-2 when stand-in keeper Jim Howard blocked a free-kick which was then tapped in by Callum Gravestock

A late spot-kick from Nathan Vernon levelled matters when James Fawcett was adjudged to have pushed a striker in the six-yard box.
Taylor Humble was named as the man of the match for the visitors.

Duchess moved into fourth place in Division Two with a 4-3 win against Filey Town Reserves at Oliver's Mount.

Luke Midgley put Duchess ahead but Town hit back to lead 2-1 at half-time through Joe Gage's brace.

Midgley levelled after the break, then two Gaz Maw headers put Duchess in charge although Town pulled a late third back with a stunning free-kick from Tom Haxby.

Wayne Chamberlain was man of the match for Duchess, while Maw and Midgley also shone for the victors, with Joe Gage the star man for Filey.

Scalby battled back to seal a 4-4 draw against Seamer Reserves.

Two goals from Matty Forsyth put Seamer in charge at 2-0 up at the break.

Ben Webster made it 2-1 but a stunning Arran Wright strike and Danny Kelly's goal put Seamer 4-1 up.

Tom Manson smashed in from long range to make it 4-2 before two goals from George Wilson, his second from the spot, secured the Otters a draw.

In Division Three, champions FC Rosette suffered a 2-1 defeat against Westover Wasps Reserves.

Wasps led but Wayne Shaw levelled up just before the break, but the home side got the winner in the second half.

Promoted Goal Sports also lost as Sherburn beat them 2-1.

Goals from Liam Scott and Harry Walmsley gave Sherburn a 2-0 lead before Dan Pollard netted for Goal Sports.

Hunmanby United Reserves won 4-3 at Fishburn Park Reserves.

Goals from player-boss Dave Wedge and an Oli Milner double put United ahead.
