Cameron Dobson fired a double hat-trick to help Eastfield to a comfortable 11-1 win at Athletico2B, while Edgehill, Westover and Cayton all progressed into the third round.

Athletico2B 1 (Dodson, pen) Eastfield 11 (Dobson 6, Tate 3, Price, Hegarty)

Nick Hegarty’s Eastfield hammered third division Athletico2B 11-1 to move into the third round, with striker Cameron Dobson firing in a stunning double hat-trick in the process.

Eastfield took a 2-0 lead before a penalty from one of their former players, Shaun Dodson, halved their deficit.

But Hegarty’s men took control of the contest, with Kris Tate bagging a hat-trick to add to Dobson’s six.

There were also goals for player-boss Hegarty and striker Danny Price.

Hegarty said: “Cameron was superb. Five of his goals were lobs from outside the area.

“We played well and deserved the win.”

Westover Wasps 6 (O’Flanagan 3, Seymour, Maw, Hannam) FC Rosette 1 (J Wray)

Westover’s Sam O’Flanagan continued his impressive run of goalscoring form as he fired in a hat-trick to help his side to a 6-1 win over Rosette.

Wasps’ manager Dave Gaddass admitted his side weren’t at the races, but O’Flanagan’s treble along with goals from Gary Maw, a stunning drive from Chris Hannam and a James Seymour effort helped them to a commanding 6-0 lead before Jamie Wray fired in a consolation strike for Rosette.

Falsgrave 1 Edgehill 7 (Collins 4, Greening, Jenking, Bradbury)

A depleted Falsgrave side succombed to a 7-1 defeat against Edgehill.

Falsgrave started with nine men before managing to make-up a full compliment after around 15 minutes.

Danny Collins was in fine form in front of goal for Steve Clegg’s men, smashing in four, including a stunning volley from just outside the box.

Ricky Greening found the net and wingers Aaron Jenking and Dan Bradbury rounded things off for the away side.

Clegg picked out Collins as his side’s man of the match for his clinical performance up front.

Cayton 4 Ayton Reserves 3 (Duggan 2, Stubbings)

Mark Plumpton’s Ayton Reserves side led twice before losing out 4-3 at Cayton.

Tyson Stubbings fired Ayton into the lead, only for Cayton to level.

TJ Duggan latched onto a Plumpton through-ball to make it 2-1.

Scores were level at the break after Cayton again levelled, and they came out fighting in the second half, bagging two goals to take a 4-2 lead.

Duggan grabbed his second with a header but he couldn’t convert moments later and Cayton moved into the next round.
