Since returning to action on the field last season, Scarborough Town have enjoyed a military-style resurgence.

The club have seen a trio of forces personnel in Jason Darling (Army), Ben Briggs (Air Force) and Danny Jenkinson (Royal Navy), ply their trade at McCains.

Town won the Humber Premier First Division title on their debut season back in action under boss Sean Rennison last season, and are looking to continue making strides this term in the Humber Premier Division.

Jason Darling made 13 appearances for Town in 2011-12, scoring three goals in the process.

Ben Briggs made 30 appearances at full-back for Town in 2011-12, scoring one goal in the 6-1 defeat of Scarborough Athletic Reserves, and Danny Jenkinson made 26 appearances for Scarborough Town’s under-19s team between 2008 and 2010 and made 21 appearances for Town’s senior team in the Wearside League championship-winning team of 2009-10.

Town have also had their first four fixtures announced ahead of the new campaign.

On Saturday August 18 Town travel to Westella & Willerby (2pm kick-off) for their opening fixture of the season, before a derby clash on Wednesday 22 at Bridlington Sports Club, 6.15pm kick-off.

Town then visit Hornsea Town on Saturday August 25 (2pm kick-off) before another away fixture at Pocklington Town on Wednesday August 29, 7.30pm kick-off.
