SATURDAY League rivals Edgehill and West Pier will renew rivalries when they meet for their District Cup semi-final on Saturday.
Alec Coulson’s Edgehill were the victors last time the sides met, but Pier are still unbeaten in the league and will be revved-up for the clash.
Coulson was disgusted with his side’s effort against Newlands last weekend when they crashed to a 2-1 defeat in the Harbour Cup quarter-finals, and he is demanding a response.
He said: “I want to see a reaction from the lads after last week. It wasn’t good enough.
“This is a massive game for us to try and get to our second cup final this season, so I just hope the lads perform better.”
In the other semi-final, Kev David’s Eastfield meet Filey Town in what could be another entertaining clash after Filey won 5-4 in their last encounter.
Filey trailed 4-1 in the last tie but Dave Brannan’s men hit back to seal a dramatic win at Clarence Drive, and they will be looking for a repeat performance. Both games kick off at 2pm.
