Scarborough News Sunday League sides will have their eyes on the glory following the first round draw of the North Riding FA Sunday Challenge Cup.

Four Scarborough teams have been handed home draws, three will be on the road, while six have been presented with byes through to the second round.

Former winners West Pier are one of the teams to open up on home turf, as they host Three Coopers from Bedale.

A similar draw has been awarded to Ayton, as they entertain Steel City, while Angel host New Marske Institute.

Scarborough Sports of division three, will be hoping to kick off with a home victory when they take on Middlebeck.

Cayton Corinthians, who also play their football in division three, will make the trip to face Legion, while West Riding Reserves make the journey to Marcia Bishopthorpe of York.

Last season’s beaten finalists Newlands Park start this term’s campaign with a game at Apple Tree.

Current Scarborough champions Trafalgar are joined by West Riding, Seamer, itis itis, Fylingdales and Shakespeare in the second round after been awarded a bye.
