Winger Jordan Thewlis has left Scarborough Athletic for follow Evo-Stik side Goole.
Thewlis has been on the verge of Rudy Funk’s side this season after a meeting with the Boro boss over the weekend he has decided to leave to play first-team football.
Meanwhile, Boro could be on the verge of signing attacker Nathan Evans and defender Dean Lisles.
Evans, a former Newcastle United youngster, won a year’s contract with Wycombe Wanderers via a national competition run by Samsung.
He could be joining on loan from Wycombe until January.
Lisles, a centre-half by trade, turns out for North Ferriby United in the Conference North.
Funk said: “I spoke to Jordan after the game just as we found out that Goole had put seven days in for the player.
“I then spoke to him again on Sunday and he had decided that he wanted to move on.
“Jordan is a player that has had a number of injuries since pre-season so he hasn’t been able to hold down a place.
“It hasn’t worked out for him at Scarborough Athletic, but the door is always open.”
Funk added: “We are hoping to have something sorted with Nathan in time for the game at Spennymoor on Tuesday evening.
“Paul Foot has been in touch with North Ferriby boss Billy Heath and through him we have had Dean training with us.
“Talks are going well, but we’ll have to see what happens.”
