EXTRA-TIME brilliance from Falsgrave’s Rich Tolliday saw his side through to the last four of the Frank White Trophy at the expense of Snainton.
Twice Lee Drydale put Snainton in the lead, but goals from Cameron Malcolm and Tolliday levelled things up, taking the tie into extra-time.
Then Tolliday took over from there. Danny Marston put Falsgrave in front for the first time in the contest before Tolliday registered two further goals to complete his hat-trick and make it 5-2.
Falsgrave scored the goal of the game when Malcolm rounded off a superb team move to finish things off at 6-2.
Ayton Reserves were beaten 5-3 in a thrilling contest against Whitby RUFC.
Sam Wallace’s brilliant ball found Mark Craven, who beat his man and made it 1-0.
But despite Craven’s second for Ayton, a Damon Craig treble and goals from Ian Rhucroft and Ben Watson put the Whitby side in charge with a 5-2 lead.
Craven then found beanpole striker Steven Frederikson in space in the box and he headed home to make the final score 5-3, with Whitby safely through the last four.
