Scarborough Town play their 100th competitive match when they entertain Withernsea at the McCain Sports Ground on Saturday (2pm kick-off).
Town are aiming to keep up their title charge in the Humber Premier League Division One to earn a hat-trick of championships, having won Teesside League Division Two in 2009 and the Wearside League in 2010.
Of Town’s 99 previous matches, the team has earned 78 victories and 10 draws and has been defeated only 11 times.
In the process, the side has scored the impressive total of 389 goals whilst conceding 104.
Midfielder Jamie Patterson holds the record number of appearances for the club, having turned out 85 times in Town’s colours.
The top goalscorers in the club’s short history are Josh Greening with 47, Robbie Hawkes 35, Joel Ramm 31, Wayne Brooksby 29 and Nathan Cook 20 - three of these players are now with Bridlington Town, while Ramm is at Pickering Town and Brooksby at North Ferriby United.
Withernsea are in sixth position in the league table and boast the division’s top goalscorer in Nigel Newton who has hit 16 goals in 14 games.
Town however, have a 100 per cent record at home this season, having won all eight league games, and will be confident of celebrating their 100th game with a victory which will consolidate their 14-point lead at the top of the table.
