SCARBOROUGH Town are set to return to action next season.
The club, who won the Wearside League and the Shipowners Charity Cup in the 2009-2010 campaign, were forced into limbo this season, due to the lack of facilities.
They had aimed to make the move into the Northern Counties East League first division this season, but their application was turned down when it emerged that their hadn’t been granted planning permission for floodlights.
Town are now aiming to sign up for a place at step seven on the non-league ladder.
The club are just awaiting news on a new pitch and which league they will join.
A manager is already in place and he has pencilled in a host of players that he is aiming to recruit for the 2011-2012 season.
Town secretary Sean Hunter said: “Everything is in place, we are just waiting for the nod and we can being to push things forward.
“We are just waiting to see how things go at the moment.”
