Scarborough Athletic have announced the appointment of Bryan Hughes and Paul Foot as joint assistant managers at the club, in a move that will last until 2017.
Boro manager Rudy Funk was thrilled with the news.
He said: “This is a massive boost for the club.
“Paul leads by example on the field with his battling performances and the passion he has for Scarborough Athletic.
“He has a real desire to succeed and to have someone like that as my assistant manager is superb.
“Bryan has played at the highest level and has brought so much to the club since he joined us. To have his experience to tap into in the dug-out and in the changing room will only help us in the future.
“To be able to work together until 2017 is an exciting prospect for our supporters to look forward to.”
Paul Foot said: “I am really looking forward to working alongside Bryan and Rudy to bring success to Scarborough Athletic. It is a natural next step in my career to move into this assistant manager role and I can’t wait to get started.
“I am a natural leader and I feel that this job is a perfect opportunity for me.”
