SCARBOROUGH Athletic will be hoping for a player boost ahead of their NCEL Premier home game against Armthorpe tomorrow, 1pm ko.
Boss Paul Olsson led his side out against Farsley in the midweek Presidents Cup semi without a number of players due to injury, other commitments and being cup-tied.
Boro will welcome Gary Hepples, Richard Medcalf and Bill Law back into the squad, but he is still waiting on Ryan Blott, Denny Ingram, Mike Gibson and Callum Reid. Nick McNamara, who was cup-tied in midweek, is also a doubt because he has been struggling with flu.
Olsson said: “When you get to this stage of the season you expect a few injury problems, you just have to get on with it.
“Whatever happens we will manage to get a decent squad out there and we will be looking to pick up the points.
“At the moment we are waiting to see how things are, we could be at full strength or we could be a few lads down.”
“We do know a bit about Armthorpe, we have beaten them a couple of times already this season.
“They like to utilise their bigger lads up front, but hopefully our football will shine through.”
l The Boro Supporters’ Bus leaves the railway station at 11.30am tomorrow.
