The flurry of snow and ice that has hit Scarborough has already started to take its toll on the weekend’s sporting schedule.

Scarborough RUFC’s trip to Ilkley has already been called off, with Scarborough Athletic’s away clash at Glasshoughton under a pitch inspection at 9.30am tomorrow morning.

Scarborough Town’s game against Bransholme Athletic at McCains is also off, while Scarborough Pirates’ trip to Haworth has also fallen foul of the weather.

It is expected that all sporting fixtures will eventually end up postponed this weekend, with several Sunday League clashes already being called off.

Klosters v Trafalgar, Seamer v Newlands, West Pier v Shakespeare and Strongwood v West Pier Reserves have all been cancelled, with more expected to follow shortly.

Flixton’s game against third division leaders Staithes has been called off in the Saturday League.
