I took plenty of positives out of our game at home to Yorkshire One leaders Doncaster Phoenix on Saturday, despite the fact that we lost out late on yet again.
It was a very close game, and after a slow start where we let them dictate the play, we came out and played a lot better in the second half.
To get so close to defeating the leaders shows that we have plenty of ability among the team at the moment, we just need to learn to hold onto leads and convert them into victories.
Doncaster are a very experienced side, with a lot of them having played at a higher level, but we have come closest to beating them in Yorkshire One this season, so if we can perform as we did on Saturday - especially in the second half - this weekend at Hullensians we should be confident of coming back with a win.
The performance in defeat against Doncaster is another step forward in our development as a team, to be on the brink of beating a side that has won all their league games is a positive.
I would imagine Hullensians will be a strong, physical team and there are certainly no easy games in this division.
We need to focus on our defence at Hull as in the early moments of the Doncaster game we let the visitors take charge.
