Scarborough’s former featherweight world champion Paul Ingle has received a huge boost as he looks to continue the road to full fitness.

Hull-based health and fitness expert Lee Stephenson will be providing Ingle with his special diet and also mentoring the former IBF and IBO champ along the way as he looks to get down to 11st.

Ingle has already lost 7st since his close friend and business partner Sonny Pollard helped him out with his diet, now he is aiming to take even more weight off in order to get back running and back in the gym.

Ingle said: “I’ve had no support from the boxing authorities, so I really am grateful to Sonny, Lee and my family for supporting me.

“People keep coming up to me and saying how good I look, and it’s only now that I can notice it.

“I feel and lot better. I’m aiming to get down to 11st so I can start running again and get back in the boxing gym to train some of the young boxers and give something back.”

Stephenson, who runs supplement provider Leeherbalhull Ltd, is delighted to be involved.

He said: “Paul is one of my heroes, so I’m chuffed to be able to help him and Sonny.”
