Sibling rivalry has paid dividend for three Scarborough Judo Club brothers.
Sam, Daniel and Tom Miller competed in an inter-club competition over the summer and each one came away with a gold medal from their respective categories.
Club coach Paul Johnson said: “ This was a fantastic result for the boys, who can be described as the best of friends and the worst of enemies.”
The competition saw over 100 competitors of under 16 years from Scarborough, Pickering, York, Newcastle and St Helens.
Paul added: “It was a cracking competition which is aimed at youngsters who are just starting out in their Judo. All three fought extremely well defeating good opposition, I think some of their extra training off the mat paid off.
“ They are smashing lads who work hard and obviously enjoy the sport, but every now and again sibling rivalry plays a part and we have to step in.”
