Colin Bailey, from Egton Bridge, narrowly missed out on victory in Scarborough DMC Pre 65 and Twin Shock trial at the weekend.
Leading overnight on a clean ride, Bailey hit trouble at the third section toward Moor End at the old army training camp of Low North Park. This let Darlington’s Kevin Chapman and Dave Emmott, of Keighley, through to become joint winners on four lost with Bailey on five.
Whitby’s Richard Harrison finished second to Lincoln’s young Chris Alford, who had the perfect ride and never dropped a mark to win the Air Cooled Class.
Scarborough DMC would like to thank all involved and the £430 raised would be split between Marie Curie and Yorkshire Cancer Research.
