Hannah Bayes (Scarborough Paragon) and Cavan Walker (Acre RT) represented Yorkshire at the GHS School Age Time Trial Championships in Warwickshire.

Bayes finished as 10th girl with a time of 25:44.

Despite being held up at all three roundabouts on the course, Walker finished in 13th place with a time of 21:34.

Walker made up for the disappointment of the GHS at the RTTC National Circuit Championships, held the following day riding two laps of the GHS course.

He finished as second junior with a time of 55:07. Louise Scupham (Team Jadan Weldtite) finished 11th Women in the Female Senior event with a time of 1:06.29

YHT SRC held the first round in their Twilight Series at York Sport, with two races - Fourth Categories and then 2/3/4 Cats.

Chris Matson (YHT SRC) came a creditable 11th in his first-ever race.

Paul Lane (Richardsons CC) had his best result to date coming in third place to join Jamie Ward (YHT SRC) who claimed second in the bunch sprint in the Fourth Cat race.

Daryl Maffey and Shaw Pickard (YHT SRC) were in a high class 2/3/4 field.

Both riders unfortunately missed the late break and finished just outside the top 10.

The series continues every Tuesday throughout September.
