Scarborough’s former featherweight world champion Paul Ingle has offered his advice and expertise to Danny Price, who is on the lookout for a new promoter after the retirement of Frank Maloney.
Ingle, who was also promoted by Maloney, reckons the cruiserweight won’t be short of offers following a successful amateur career and a positive start to life in the professional ranks.
Ingle said: “Danny is a class fighter with a great amateur pedigree, so he shouldn’t find getting a new promoter hard.
“If he wants me to pick up the phone for him and ring around a few people, I’d be more than happy to do so for him.”
Ingle thinks Price is only a few fights away from a shot at a title.
He added: “Danny must be looking at a couple of fights and then a shot at an area title.
“He’s a good lad and just needs to get back in the ring as quickly as possible as he hasn’t fought for a while now. I’m sure he will get sorted soon.”
