Glave, 17, was behind after the first round, struggling to see through a borrowed headguard after confusion over the rules.

The Westway boxer started to turn the fight around in the second, but knew he needed to finish with a bang in the third and final round, and he did just that.

Landing a sweet overhand right, White took a standing county before Glave rushed in to finish the job and silence a hostile home crowd.

Coach George Rhodes said: “There was a mix-up over the headguards and Kieran had to borrow one, which he struggled to see out of.

“He got himself back into the fight and finished it nicely.

Josh Warrington handed him his trophy and told us how impressed he was with Kieran’s will to win.”
