THE McCain Scarborough Netball League’s top performers were honoured at their end of season presentation night at Scarborough Cricket Club.

Teams from all three local netball divisions congregated at the newly revamped pavilion at North Marine Road for the end of season awards night, and the league and cup winners were honoured for their performances over the season.

Division one winners were SNC Scholars, who also collected success in the Division One cup, concluding a superb season for the club.

It was a similarly successful season for division two outfit Newlands.

They managed to win the title as well as picking up the division two cup as well in the process.

In division three, Vasey’s Glazing secured the title, while the division three cup went to Express Coach Repairs.

The League Handicap Tournament winners were Barracudas, who sealed their win at Scalby School a few months back.

There were also awards for the most sporting teams in each division.

Title winners SNC Scholars were also the most sporting team, while Burlington and Wheatcroft Aces won the division two and three awards respectively.

Alison Barnes and Lisa Hiley shared the ‘Contribution to Netball’ award for their services over the years, while the Players’ Umpire award went to Jo Smith.
