Scarborough’s Danny Price will meet Czech fighter Michal Bilak at The Spa’s Grand Hall on Saturday night.
The former Westway cruiserweight is hosting his ninth professional bout in Scarborough after a gap of over a decade without a fight in the town.
Price will take on 33-year-old Bilak (pictured) - who has previously fought British middleweight Paul Smith Jnr - in a six-round contest at the top of a fight-fight-bill.
Price said: “I’m really looking forward to getting in there and putting on a good show for
the people of Scarborough.
“Bilak is a tough, durable opponent so I haven’t gone out and picked an easy fight.
“He comes to have a go and hopefully that will make for a good night.
“I’ll be ringing Paul Smith for some tips before Saturday - he took Paul to points so I know I’m in for a tough night.”
Tickets are still available for the fight by ringing The Spa on 01723 821888 or Danny on 07883 060178.
Price added: “I’m really grateful to the people who have bought tickets and helped out so far.
“It would be great to get as many people as possible down there Saturday to make it a good atmosphere.”
