Scarborough’s Rebecca Seidl jumped to victory in the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round at Northallerton Equestrian Centre

The event saw 38 skilled combinations coming forward to compete across the 1.05m and 1.10m classes.

With qualification for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool during November 16-20, at the forefront of everyone’s minds, a healthy battle ensued in these two fiercely-contested second rounds.

In a field of 16 competitors, Seidl made it through to the 10-horse jump-off and went on to take the eventual win.

Jumping from middle draw, Seidl had her work cut out as she watched two before her go clear.

Holding her nerve, she managed to steer her nine-year-old bay mare, Quality Star, accurately around the course in 34.03 seconds and this time alongside a double clear left her in first place.
