Scarborough Amateur Rowing Club Regatta is being held this weekend, with races starting at 10am on Saturday and Sunday.
The club are hoping to build on the fantastic success of last year after winning the majority of the races and securing the major trophies and regaining the historic Wilson Cup.
In addition SARC now have several junior girls crews who have trained hard all winter and this paid off recently when they took first place in the under-14s and second in the under-18s at the recent Clifford Page Races held at Whitby.
Club captain Kev Barker said: “The weather forecast is very good so the sea conditions should be favourable. I imagine there will be many spectators watching on the day to enjoy some very competitive rowing races.
“The presentation of the trophies will also be held on the beach this year around 5pm.”
